Elora's eyes grew wide and scared as her grip of the beings from the heavens was broken. She glared violently up at Ace disgusted by his very existence. The angels however rose above the dragons carried through the air by their mighty wings. The leader among the wing-men spoke. "After years of confinement we are free from her grasp. We thank you wizards for answering our summons. We were bound to her service by a staff she had created to conquer and control us. We could not fight Elora on our own so we sought the help of magically gifted individuals like yourselves. We sent out a request to the closest guild and finally our prayers were answered. There was one before you who tried to free us but ended victim to Elora's cruel body shaping experiments. We too share your grief having lost our comrade in the forced battle. He was burned to cinders so we shall take his sword back to the celestial world with us. Know this dragons we bear no ill will towards you for the loss we have suffered. You were forced to fight as were we and Elora is the one to blame. We must return to our world now and lay our comrade to rest. Your reward will be waiting for you upon your return to the guild. We must return and prepare a funeral for our fallen friend we suggest you do the same." With that they flew off into the rising sun vanishing in the light of day break.

Elora watched as her perfect servants vanished and her temple was destroyed. She had lost many things this day but the sun once again was rising giving her the opening she needed. "You will all pay dearly for my loss. Have you any idea how hard it is to bind celestial beings into service without a contract? The magical council will hear about this and you've no guild master to speak on your behalf. Your guild will burn for this." She spat as her pink hair fell over her eyes.

Elora struggled to get away, but failed to do so since her arm was currently being crushed by a boulder.
"Don't you dare come any closer you vile, insignificant, mindles- AAARGH!" she spat before stopping midway into a scream when the vampire sunk his fangs into her neck. With her free hand she had balled it into a fist and sent a series of punches flying right at his face in desperation to get him off of her - but with no avail.
(Elora - 4)

The Winged man, as agile as he may be, was unable to dodge the furious fists of fire and ice; taking direct hits from the polar opposites. The impact was so great that he was knocked unconscious and fell to the ground.

Korsy's foe was also met with an unfortunate end to the battle, having a shadowed dagger shoved right into his gut. Blood flowed freely, even between his fingers as he tried to prevent too much of it escaping. In agony, he too fell from the sky.

Upon landing, he was not ready to give up just yet and a light spear formed in his free hand and he sent it flying towards Korsy; just nicking him on the shoulder.

Elora was about to make a comment to the fire slayer but was far too preoccupied by the heap of stone sailing her way; slamming right into her and pinning her down. The entire weight of stone rested on top of one of her arm; inevitably crushing it beyond repair. Elora screamed out in agony as she desperately tried to free herself with no avail.
(Ace - 18)

It was then she glared at the vampire with a putrid expression and her blood seemed to continue to boil the longer she fought him. Suddenly Elora raised a hand to fire more light arrows at him, only to find that they missed him - but not by much. Perhaps the agony of having her arm crushed under a one tonne boulder was far too distracting for her to aim properly right now.
"You dirty, rotting ba'stard!" she spat at him as she continued to struggle.
(Elora - 17)

Hiver was certainly skilled - and his attacks were nothing to sneeze at - especially this next one that was an excellent example of his prowess.
Unfortunately, his foe was an agile bugger, for he once again dodge this attack too quite well. He seemed to grow bored and decided to take a sharp turn with his sword drawn out; stabbing Lance in the foot.

How did he miss the perfect opportunity of stabbing a vulnerable target? Sure he got him in the foot, but really this was like throwing a basketball against a barn yard wall and only just barely hitting it on the side.

Seeing the shadow knives soaring his way the Winged Man decided to take further action of his own and being the first of Elora's servants to use magic as well.
"Celestial Radiant Arrows!" he yelled and he too sent a barrage of arrows towards Korsy, only made from light magic. The two were locked in an epic struggle between the light and the shadows, for many of these attacks collided with each other and made small explosions from the impact. Now it was a battle of stamina and power until either one pulls an interesting trick up their sleeve.

The winged man Hiver was targeting suddenly dropped into a nose dive, easily missing the iced spear by a mile. He raised his sword and swung right when he was in front of Hiver and soared right past him after attacking; a fierce gust of wind following at his wake. The Ice Dragon Slayer would soon notice that his opponent missed his mark, but only just, and only managed to slice the side of his clothing without even touching the skin.

Korsy's elbow had made it's mark, catching the winged man off-guard and knocking the wind out of him. His captor couldn't help but let go of the Shadow Dragon Slayer and spluttered and coughed consistently. The winged man also struggled to stay airborne.

Elora felt a sense of relief from being freed from his manipulative hold and she was quite honestly surprised that he didn't take full advantage of that. Not that she's complaining or anything, just surprised. She soon laughed, "Me? A demon? That's rich coming from the likes of you. Clearly you do not understand the process involved of curing a disease."

Her eyes widened again when she heard him yell out his next spell and soon it was clear that fear had settled in her eyes as it grew dark.
"Oh no..." was all she could mutter before the Light Caster started screaming when ravaged by the swarm of bats. She felt her skin tear and blood spray as she was swarmed upon. From the looks of it, there was also some permanent damage caused that would certain scar in the future - if she lived.
(Ace - 14)

In retaliation Elora raised her staff into the air - swatting at some of the bats along in the process - and shouted, "Sunrise Orb!"
All of a sudden, despite it being night, Elora shrouded herself with a shield of artificial sunlight. While it wasn't true sunlight, it was pretty darn close to it and caused some burning to the bats. Not enough to cause for some serious damage, unless Ace chose to stay within it for an extended period of time.
(Elora - 8 )

While Korsy's retaliation was impressive, perhaps it was the erratic flight patterns for him to miss his mark - but just barely as his shadow daggers' tips scraped along one side of the Winged Servant's cheek. Having said that, when said Winged Man tried to counter, he also missed his mark by a long shot; in a spectacular display of... being special?
(Korsy - 17

The angelic servant whom had Lance in his grip released him as soon as he heard the fire mage shout out his attack. But not even that could save him, for he received a very thorough tan. Burnt to ashes actually, and there was nothing left of him.
(Lance - 20
Lance's Winged Man - Dead.)

Hiver, wasn't so lucky, for when he executed his uppercut his foe was quick to dodge it with a mighty flap of his grand wings. This winged servant then sheathed his sword and then raised the covered weapon high above his head and slammed it down; clonking the ice wielder right on the top of his head.
(Hiver - 7
Hiver's Wingman - 14)

Meanwhile, Allianna grunted as she continued to build up the thickness of diamond armor that coated her body. She still had that sword lodged into her knee, but right now she was unable to do anything about it. It soon became apparent that the man holding onto her was struggling to stay airborne, let alone attack. So the two were locked in a tug-o-war of sorts, constantly ascending and descending.

"You truly are a monster." Elora muttered before she found herself struggling in his grip, clawing at his arms as she made desperate gasps of air whilst her throat was trapped in a vice grip.

"Yes I said the cost will be high, but you keep forgetting one thing I have repeatedly mentioned. So for now, I'll forgive that since it can't be helped with your brain rotting away in that skull of yours. I still have much to learn, much to research about granting permanent life. Being able to grant life for fleeting seconds is such a milestone, but yet there is still a long way to go. Years maybe... but considering your condition, time should not be an issue for you anyway."
the Light Caster replied boldly and yet also with honesty. She could only hope that he would release her even when she still stayed true to her views on the undead.
'He seemed to also look over the fact I also said that it only works once on a person on the first attempt... and I already made that attempt in front of their very eyes. No way is she coming back... but still, I could use a little boost for my research at least.' she thought privately to herself.

All of a sudden all the winged men carrying and swaying about the slayers high above simultaneously drew out their narrow swords and drove them into the slayers' bodies. Due to the constant, abrupt flight patterns being made, results varied of where they had made their mark.

A blade went through Korsy's side from behind, severing an artery, Lance managed a close shave with losing part of his hair when the man carrying him just barely missed his neck, a thin sword dived straight through Hiver's free arm and the blade kept twisting on the spot and a weapon was driven right into Allianna's knee; right in between her diamond armor. Blood was spilled and lots of it, something that a vampire certainly couldn't miss.

(Yes I called them Wingman. Deal with it.)

The diamond dragon slayer let out a shriek of agony, overcome with the feeling of pain that distracted her from her nausea. Not an ideal distraction, but it was something.
"Ace! What in the world are you doing down there?!" she yelled, completely unaware of the situation unfolding below as she struggled. What Allianna did manage to do was to thicken her armor with more diamonds to increase her weight; albeit at a crawling and inconvenient pace with hopes of slowing down the winged man holding onto her. So far, he didn't seem deterred by it at all.
(Allianna - 2)

Back on the ground Elora raised her brows at the vampire before her, "Maybe while I am researching you should be more concerned with those whom are still alive. Release me and maybe we can come to an agreement."

Elora screamed out in pain as she was dragged by her hair and uttered an 'oof' when thrown against the diamond wall. Her body slumped to the ground and she shook violently; trying her hardest to break free from his grasp...
(Elora - 9)
But even her stubborness wasn't enough as she lay helpless to his will.

"Of course you could do that and make your demonic fantasies come true. No normal person thinks like that, why can't you see that I'm only trying to help?" she gasped before pausing thoughtfully and added solemly,

"Vampire, I cannot bring anything back from the dead. Esecially what was un dead. At least not permanantly and not without cost - that's the whole point of my reseatch. At best I can grant life for mere seconds and then that's it. Only once per person. Your mistress saw you again and were the last thing she remembers. Shouldn't you be happy?"

Elora glared, "If you think I would succumb to a - ARGHK!" she began before letting out a guttural scream when she felt the cool steel of Korsy's bade bury itself into her back. Blood flowed from her back, staining her elegant garments and the ground. While the blade struck true and rather deep, he did miss vital organs and arteries. Still, it was definitely enough to weaken her a little and hinder her movements; and for her to lose focus for a moment. A critical moment in fact that she will soon regret.
(Korsy - 12)

Meanwhile, Allianna readied herself once more to assist her allies as she summoned yet another purple rune and proclaimed, "Diamond Dragon Monolith!"
Within seconds pillars of solid diamond shot into the air from the ground, skewering any debris and large chunks of rock along the way. She didn't intend to target Elora but rather, cast patches of shadows over the field in hopes of being able to assist Korsy and
provide some patches of comfort for Ace from the sun.
(Allianna - 12)

While Elora tried to shake off the Shadow Dragon Slayer - with little success - her eyes fell upon the advancing vampire. She could feel her throat run dry when she heard his next attack, "No! Impossible!" she gasped and before long the regal enemy could feel his cold, sharp grip around her neck and mind. Her body quivered as she struggled against his spell, but no matter how long she resisted she could feel her defiance slipping away.

As a last desperate attempt, before she lost all grips of sanity and control, she raised her staff and slammed it onto the ground. Soon winged men shielded in white and golden armor descended from the scorching sun and swooped onto the Knightfall Knights. Each one managed to pluck each slayer present from the ground and flew around wildly about the sky, deliberately making the ride as rocky as possible. An extra one charged down at Ace from behind with a sword at hand, stabbing him through the shoulder -despite all of this, Ace was now in full control of Elora.
(Elora/Winged Servants - 16)
(Ace -16)
Allianna groaned, "Oh no..."
She soon after held her hands over her mouth, feeling completely overwhelmed by a sickly feeling.

((A/N: All slayers that get motion sickness will get sick from being picked up and flown about wildly. The loophole of when a Slayer considers an ally more of a friend than transportation does not apply here because each slayer hasn't met any of these men before.))

Elora placed her index and middle finger over her lips and she couldn't help but cast the vampire an amused look before addressing the slayers, "Oh my, see darlings, this monster is an example of what you are letting roam free in the streets at night! If you do not try to squash out the diseased, you too will find that you will succumb to it. If you trust it to not bite you while you sleep, then you are a fool for not realizing their primal nature. They only think for themselves and their thirst. Nothing more, and everything less."

She then gasped as she watched her abode crumble to lumps of rubble, leaving all in the open and even more harsh sunlight to flood all of them rather than just a concentrated pillar on herself. She couldn't help but chuckle as she noticed that all of them managed to completely avoid the falling debris - even her statues were safe, "Oh, but the poor thing really just can't help itself, just lashing out like a brutish monster. It's not as though it can think up an actual strategy -  or think at all; all that it has accomplished is just destroy my home. I wonder how it can speak though? Must purely be mimickery. Nothing more than a senseless beast."
(Ace - 1)

Though, while distracted by talking about Ace in a condescending manner, Hiver'sfrosty blast hit her right in the kisser and her head whipped over to the side in response to the blast. Elora still remained standing in the same spot however, not even stumbling from the hit. A thin layer of frost had built up on her cheek but it was quickly meted away by the intensity of the sunlight. The woman sent Hiver a fierce glare,"You dare hit a lady?! Especially when I am trying to rid this world of this undead menace?!"
(Hiver - 6)

Despite there being one Knightfall member looking utterly defeated and not attacking, Elora in her rage spun a hand about to create a circular golden rune and retaliated,"Light Arrow Blast!" she yelled as streams of beams of light were catapulted Hiver's way.

Though, seemingly out of nowhere a certain purple-haired slayer sprinted from behind the group and skidded to a stop in front of Hiver, just mere seconds before the light arrows were to hit. As Allianna swung her arms forward a purple rune appeared just as she shouted out her own spell, "Diamond Dragon's Wall of Sanctum!"

All of a sudden a ten foot, thick wall of diamonds sprang up from the ground - but it wasn't straight; instead, it concaved away from the caster, and for good reason. Moments later the light arrows hit the diamond wall, ricocheting off the various surfaces with insane speeds before accidentally being redirected at Korsy. Allie gasped with surprise but soon after sighed in relief  when she realised that the slayer had already prepared for such an attack and bounced right off of him too. The light arrows were sent flying into the air before they finally exploded, causing for a shimmer dust to shower from it.

Unaware of the effects of the spell on her ally, Allie called out with worry, "Kornelius! Are you alright?"

Okay so since there are quite a few characters in play, I will be using a very, very simple dice roll system for the combat scenes. I will also make the effort to post once every 12 hours and any character who hasn't had a chance to post yet is still welcome to do so or just let me know via the Skype chat before I make my next one.

Dice Roll Rules:

  • I will roll a D20 once per character, per turn. So yes Elora attacks only once while each of you still get one turn each, it is a boss battle after all.
  • If your character gets an even number, your attempt hits and if you get an odd number it's a miss/blocked depending on what is best suited for the situation.
  • The higher the even number is, the greater the damage
  • The lower the odd number is, the greater the miss/the block will be more effective. Your character will also be taunted depending on how low the dice roll is.
  • If the odd number is high, the attack just barely misses
  • Numbers higher than 10 is considered a high roll and numbers less than 10 is a low roll.
  • 20 is a perfect hit. No questions asked. It even stuns the foe, causing for them to miss their next turn.
  • 1 is an utterly embarrassing attempt. How the h'ell did you get into this Guild again? You totally bribed your way in didn't you? Who knows, depending on your allies or enemies, your character may never live this down.
  • 10 is a draw, both combatants will be locked into a stalemate either until their next turn or someone else attempts to intervene or attack immediately afterwards.

Elora maintained her composure and gentle smile as the vampire raged at her and she walked past him as if he wasn't there and closer to the slayers. She raised a hand and with a flick of a wrist a golden rune circle appeared. The stone ceiling rumbled as a circular lid over a hole slip off to the side and allowed for harsh sunlight to pour in. This sunlight bounced off a number of mirrors and followed Elora wherever she walked; showering her with a veil of sun-shiney-goodness.

She placed the tips of her fingers over her surprised mouth, taken aback by Lance's question, "Kill? Ohohoho heavens no! I wouldn't dare do such a thing." she replied, "I believe that you're mistaken, your dear mistress came to me for help. So, I helped her and she is very much alive."

The Light Caster turned to walk over to an almost finished clay sculpture of a woman with looks none of them recognised and perhaps most may find her extremely attractive? Elora then added a nose and carved away at the body until it was a perfect hour glass figure, "I do not take lives away, I enhance it. Observe."

She then flicked out a hand towards the newly finished sculpture and yelled in a regal voice, "Life Rejuvination!"
All of a sudden the clay sculpture turned to flesh and a **** woman stood before them. She flopped onto her knees gasping for air before turning back to solid stone. Elora sighed heavily with great sadness, "Alas, I can only do so much from what was never alive to begin with or what was once dead. I hope to further my studies in magic so that I can create life from clay of perfectly sculptured bodies that will live for more than a few seconds. However, to anyone whom is alive, my magic is very much beneficial."

She then looked at the group once more, and once again ignoring Ace, "What was the point of this? You see darlings, your dear mistress came to me to cure her of her disease. Vampires are unfortunate wretched creatures, they are diseased and cursed to walk the planet with the living. Not only that, they are monsters who live on instinct, consistently violent, have no sense of what is considered to be vile conduct and constantly lust for blood. I am sure that your, erm, 'friend' has displayed all of such things since the start of your little visit, has it not? It is for the benefit of humanity and my duty to find and cure these poor victims of this disease. Such duties are intertwined with my works of art here - I did have the help from my little pet but I don't blame you for killing her, she was rude to not show proper manners when welcoming guests."

She sighed again, "Ah, where has the time gone? Please forgive me for rambling on a bit, I suppose it was a habit I picked up while having intriguing conversations with my once-alive pet. You wish to see her, yes? Follow me."

She turned to walk up the staircase, the harsh sunlight still following her by douncing off the rotating mirrors on the ceiling. The Light Mage beckoned the group to follow her up the staircase all the way up to the golden throne. Beneath the glorious throne was a stone statue of a woman holding it up with her back and hands - a woman that any member of Knightfall would recognise as their mistress. However, there was something different about the shape of her body - especially the face where parts of it had been carved away in a rather obsessive manner. Elora at down on the throne once more, the heels of her golden shoes rested on the back of the Mistress' head.

"It is a long and exhausting process, but worry not, one of these days I'll find a proper way to cure her. Let me try again, I am sure to get it right this time."Still with the sunlight pouring over Elora and the throne she called out once more, "Life Rejuvination!"
With that the stone statue of the deceased mistress turned to flesh again, her eyes were wide and screamed in agony - not only from the sunlight but also from the raw carvings of missing flesh purely just to depict Elora's vision of the perfect body. Seconds later, their mistress turned back to stone, the last thing she could remember was seeing the faces of her beloved guild. A tear even rolled down her stone cheeks after she went suddenly silent.

"Alas, another failure. Perhaps you can help me with my research and that she can return to your guild safe, alive and 'well'." she suggested, feigning a sweet smile.

A slow, singular applause echoed throughout the room from the top of the staircase as a tall and elegant figure descended. Her hips swaying from side to side as she glided down to meet with the slayers and vampire. Her long, glowing pink hair swayed softly behind her, her feathered wings poised with elegance and her long red staff with a complex star design at the end was grasped firmly with one hand. She leaned against one of the stone statues of a strong, burly male; as though she was ready to be swept off her feet by him.

"I am glad to see that you all have come out of there alive, I hope my pet hasn't been too troublesome... I will also gladly heal any of you from your injuries - unlike the Viper of course. Should you choose to decline, I understand - shame on me if fooled twice, right?" she said softly to the slayers, with genuine concern plastered onto her face. However her eyes then flashed over to Ace, "But I suppose that's what happens when someone hasn't quite mastered the skill of teleportation and land in a ditch."

She then slipped away from the burly statue and moved on over to the next; her feathered wings flapped occasionally as she glided over to another statue of a male standing in a heroic pose and a determined expression in his forever-frozen eyes. The eloquent figure then leaned over to the statue's side, caressing his stone biceps slowly as she spoke again, "So, have the mighty Knightfall decided to pay me a visit - again - and with such a... 'lovely' gift as well. Saves me the trouble... I shant allow for you to leave empty-handed. Also, you may address me as Elora." she insistent with a smile; again speaking only with the slayers. and tapped the base of the staff onto the ground three times and a dozen dwarf-like winged men glided in pairs - each set carrying a large crate and piling it in front of them. One of he dwarf-like men opened one of these crates and it's contents revealed a shining glow of gold, jewels and pearls.
